ROSI:
Very little is known about this silversmith from Mexico and I’ve researched the mark extensively. I’ve seen a few charm bracelets and on one was a clue: each charm was also stamped RPG (P is largest and most likely the surname letter) and I’m
guessing
they are Rosi’s initials, but could very well be wrong. All the pieces I’ve seen have the Eagle 19 assay mark. Some sellers have attached the surname ‘Beguden’ to Rosi, but I’ve yet to find any research that validates this and it’s certainly not in line with the RPG initials. The ROSI mark and the initials are listed separately in Hougart’s book and he does not connect the two together, but Beguden is not found. Further, I’ve not seen it in any of Penny Morrill’s books either. It may be the actual surname, but I suspect someone put it out there and then others jumped on it without researching and this is typical of how misinformation is spread. Rosi’s jewelry is rather scarce, and while most have been charm bracelets, I’ve seen some other fabulous, well-made pieces also.

~ Stamps: ROSI, Sterling 925, Hecho en (made in) Mexico, Eagle 19 (assay mark) *The 19 looks like a 10 as part of the mark has faded.

Vintage condition
with very minor surface wear noticeable on magnified inspection. I detected no chips on the gems. Please view all photos to judge for yourself keeping in mind that they’re high def Canon pics which exaggerate any blemishes that may be present.
