    Description

    This is a great way to own a piece of history: Sterling Silver ingot set by the Lincoln Mint.  It is titled "The History of World War II - Great Events of the Pacific Theater."  There are 12 sterling silver ingots, each depicting a different phase of the war.  There are accompanying pamphlets for each battle/event, which describes what happened.  The following events are included:
    * Atom Bombing of Hiroshima
    * Battle of Midway
    * General Wainwright Surrenders
    * Corregedor
    * Bataan Death March
    * Battle of Guadalcanal
    * MacArthur Returns to the Philippines
    * Flying Tigers Invasion of Okinawa
    * Pearl Harbor Attack
    * Japan Surrenders
    * Battle of Iwo Jima
    * Doolittle's Raid on Tokyo
    Each ingot measures 23 by 42 mm, and is stamped "Sterling 01289."  Each bar weighs 44 to 45  grams, with the total sterling silver weight of all ingots reaching 530 grams, all weighed on a state certified scale.  Please see the detailed pictures of each piece so that you may assess their condition yourself.
    The leatherette case is included, and measures 10.5" x 7" x 2".  There are some scuffs, but overall it is in good condition.  It includes 12 pamphlets, one for each event.
