.  Incredible color 11.5” by 7.5” foil etch reproduction of a John Berkey painting entitled ‘One Giant Leap,’ which depicts Neil Armstrong standing on the surface of the moon, with Buzz Aldrin, the Lunar Module Eagle, the Earth, and small images of the rocket launch, orbiting Command Module Columbia, and the American flag visible in the background, affixed to the original 12” by 16” presentation mount, signed on the mount in black felt tip, “Neil Armstrong, Apollo 11.”  Handsomely matted and framed and in fine condition with minor creasing to the top and bottom borders of the image.

Only 75 of these personally autographed foil pictures were made for the space exhibit at the 1972 North Carolina State Fair.  A wonderful display piece featuring a rare artist’s portrayal of both Armstrong and Aldrin on the lunar surface, highlighted by Armstrong’s uncommon handwritten addition of the mission name next to his signature, an achievement that recently celebrated its 50th anniversary.  An identical image signed by Armstrong recently sold for ,250 at Swann Auction Galleries in November 2018.
