Block Of Clay From " New Beetle" Concept Car 1998

Description

This is part of  Volkswagen history.  A full sized clay mock up of the
" New Beetle"  being introduced in 1998 was made by designers to see their vision in a full sized detailed model.  Then in 2003 Volkswagen Dealers received a cut from that very model . This is a chunk of the original clay mock up .  It was sent to a dealership and has been in the owners possession ever since.  A rare piece indeed . Still in it's plexiglass case and mounted solid to the bottom of the case .  The case is sealed closed .  It's real, and it's very rare .
Measures about five and a half inches square without the stand and the clay it's self is somewhat smaller.  Weighs more than you'd think .
The photo of the original clay model on the back is exactly as the display came from Volkswagen .
